NORECO I is a non-stock, non-profit electric cooperative, organized and existing under and by virtue of the Presidential Decree No 269 (PD 269). It is the holder of an exclusive franchise issued by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) to operate the electric power distribution system in the cities of Canlaon, Guihulngan, and Bais, and the municipalities of Ayungon, Bindoy, Jimalalud, La libertad, Manjuyod, Tayasan, Vallehermoso, and Mabinay.
