Orientation and Promotional Seminar on the Safe Spaces Act (Anti-Bastos Law) in the Workplace:
As part of NORECO I’s ongoing commitment to fostering a respectful and professional work environment and enhancing awareness of the Safe Spaces Act provisions, the Cooperative in partnership with Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Region VII, through its Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) headed by Chair AOM Erlyn Dagonton Zamora, conducted its first batch in-house seminar last February 7, 2025 at Solidary Hall, NORECO I HQ. This initiative aims to equip employees with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively prevent and respond to gender-based sexual harassment (GBSH) in the workplace. Moreover, conducting sessions on these laws will help guide both management and employees in comprehending how the Safe Spaces Act and other related laws ensure a safer and more inclusive environment.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Atty. Gazzelenne Fuentes (Officer-in-Charge Sub-office-Dumaguete, CHR Region VII) for sharing her time and expertise in promoting safe and respectful environments to NORECO I officers, employees, and agency representatives. The HR Office is, as always, deeply appreciative of the continuous support from Coop Management, led by GM Engr. Strauss Theyknowyou, for all our activities and initiatives.
